The Confident Careers Show

With Femi Yusoof and Joe Quarcoo

Honest conversations and practical insight for students, graduates, jobseekers and early-career professionals navigating an increasingly complex world of work.

The Confident Careers Show brings professionals, educators, employers, entrepreneurs and emerging talent into candid conversations about career journeys, setbacks, decisions, skills, confidence and opportunity.

Originally created and hosted by Femi Yusoof, The Confident Careers Show was relaunched in 2026 as a partnership between Femi Yusoof and Joe Quarcoo. Together, they shape and deliver a renewed platform offering candid career conversations, practical guidance and lived experience for students, graduates and early-career professionals.

The relaunched programme is developed collaboratively, bringing together complementary experience in careers, education, public conversation and media production.

Programme story

From radio show to renewed partnership

The Confident Careers Show was originally created and hosted by careers professional Femi Yusoof as a live radio programme and podcast. Its earlier episodes explored confidence, employability, communication, mentoring, job searching and professional resilience.

After a multi-year pause, the programme was relaunched in 2026 through a partnership between Femi Yusoof and Joe Quarcoo. The renewed show combines practical careers expertise, thoughtful conversations, lived experience and accessible media production to support people making the transition into and through professional life.

The current chapter features conversations with professionals, educators, entrepreneurs and employers who share not only their achievements, but also the rejection, uncertainty, changing direction and practical decisions behind their journeys.

Purpose

Career development grounded in real experience

The show responds to a familiar problem: talented people can leave education with qualifications but remain uncertain about how to enter work, communicate their value, manage rejection or make confident career decisions.

Rather than presenting career development as a simple formula, The Confident Careers Show creates space for honest experiences, practical guidance and multiple pathways. It helps listeners understand that careers are rarely perfectly linear—and that confidence can be developed through preparation, reflection, exposure and action.
